Frequency domain representation and singular value decomposition
نویسنده
چکیده
This contribution reviews the external and the internal representations of linear time-invariant systems. This is done both in the time and the frequency domains. The realization problem is then discussed. Given the importance of norms in robust control and model reduction, the final part of this contribution is dedicated to the definition and computation of various norms. Again, the interplay between time and frequency norms is emphasized.

Noise Effects on Modal Parameters Extraction of Horizontal Tailplane by Singular Value Decomposition Method Based on Output Only Modal Analysis
According to the great importance of safety in aerospace industries, identification of dynamic parameters of related equipment by experimental tests in operating conditions has been in focus. Due to the existence of noise sources in these conditions the probability of fault occurrence may increases. This study investigates the effects of noise in the process of modal parameters identification b...
متن کاملSingular Value Decomposition based Steganography Technique for JPEG2000 Compressed Images
In this paper, a steganography technique for JPEG2000 compressed images using singular value decomposition in wavelet transform domain is proposed. In this technique, DWT is applied on the cover image to get wavelet coefficients and SVD is applied on these wavelet coefficients to get the singular values. Then secret data is embedded into these singular values using scaling factor. Different com...
متن کاملPictorial Recognition Using Affine-Invariant Spectral Signatures
This paper describes an efficient approach to pose invariant object recognition employing pictorial recognition of image patches. A complete affine invariance is achieved by a representation which is based on a new sampling configuration in the frequency domain. Employing Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), the affine transform is decomposed into slant, tilt, swing, scale and 2D translation. Fr...
متن کاملDesign of a time-frequency domain matched filter for detection of non-stationary signals
In this paper, a practical and effective approach is proposed to detect a transient or nonstationary signal component of interest from a composite signal waveform. The detection problem has been re-formulated in terms of time-frequency analysis, and, thus, the conventional 1-D (i.e., time-domain) matched filter approach is extended to the 2-D (here, time-frequency domain) optimal filtering. For...
متن کاملTime-Frequency Analysis and Singular Value Decomposition Applied to the Highly Multicomponent Musical Signals
An algorithm for decomposition of highly multicomponent signals, with variable components energy, has been proposed. The algorithm combines the singular value decomposition with the suitable time-frequency analysis approach. The auto-correlation matrix is obtained by applying the inverse form of the cross-terms free time-frequency distribution. The decomposition of the time-frequency based auto...
